Viewpoints
There are multiple viewpoints reagarding young people.
Parental-rightism
[edit | edit source]Parental-rightism is the viewpoint that parents have full rights to make decisions about their minor children, even against their will. Depending on the person who holds this viewpoint, this can include torture, and possibly in the most extreme cases homicide.
Adultism
[edit | edit source]Adultism is the belief that adults are better than minors.
Protectionism
[edit | edit source]Protectionism is the belief that minors need protection, even at the cost of their rights.
Protectionism is sometimes used as an excuse for adultism.
